I Highly recommend this box loaded or unloaded, that depends on you. I doubt you find a box that will be deep enough to hold type R's and still fit under the seat.

No worries my friend it happens to us all.

For simplicity those MTX subs that come in there originally are good clean sounding subs. I have that box with Alpine Type S shallow mount subs. They bump very well. Nice tight hard hitting bass. I push mine with a 1000 watt Alpine Mono block amp. You need an amp to match or exceed (with in reason) the RMS rating for your subs. So anything from 500 to a 1000 watts should work good.

Actually this box is what is known as a "down-firing" box. The subs will be pointed to the floor.

The subs are Alpine Type SWS 4ohm DVC

I like JL Audio.

I think kicker has a sub that does not need much air space.

JL audio is great too. I'm sure Kicker does as well as most major audio companies will have shallow mount subs. Just need to match the sub to the box. Airspace is extreme important for sound quality and sound pressure level.
