Default Smarty And Catcher ECM ?

I have the Mad catcher ecm and a smarty my question is if I was to put the mad ecm back in my truck and load a smarty program into to get (high idle 3 cyl warm up) when I put it back to stock, does the smarty put it back to STOCK or the way it was a MAD ECM?

I'm trying to put the 3 cyl warm up into the catcher ecm but also want to save the software in the catcher ecm. I'm not sure if when the smarty puts it back to stock if it is putting original stock ecm or what the ecm had previously (the catcher software) I guess the question is does the smarty store what the ecm had before so when I put it back it is still the catcher software

Before you reprogrammed the ecm, it had a catcher software in it. You wanted to install software that had high idle w/ it. You want to return to stock and keep the high idle? On mine at least, high idle stays no matter what. What year of truck are we working with?

No I haven't reprogrammed yet because I don't know if I will lose the catcher software when I put it back. But the catcher software doesn't have the 3 cyl warm up. At least not that I remember. And 3 cyl warm up is something you remember the first time you here it The truck is a 01 auto

the smarty has high idle but no mad power, the smarty setting #8 is the same as the mad ecm. but if I try to put the high idle in the ecm and then remove the smarty will it make the mad ecm a stock ecm?

Well it won't have mad power, only whats on smarty. If you want to get the best of both worlds, mad power and high idle, is find and program that particular software. Bob Wagner might find a way to combine the 2. He and Marco are the brains behind the SR & JR Smarty. Go to smartypower.com, should be able to email him.

Here is the response from Marco

as you know, the MAD ECM contains a modified software. Smarty reprograms completely the ECM, so if you return the ECM to stock, it will be really stock, the MAD software will be gone.

My question to him
I have a question. I have a special version Mad catcher and was wondering if I could use my smarty (which I also have) to load the high idle and 3cyl. warm up and then remove the smarty and still have the software for the mad catcher. or will the smarty put the mad ecm back to stock. Thanks for any info or help Todd
