Gain access to driver side power mirror motor
Greetings to my diesel fanatical brothers and sisters!! Need a bit of help. My driver side power mirror sticks, or moves little in each direction when trying to adjust it. Noticed it when I extended it after hooking up my travel trailer. I made final adjustments by pushing into place by hand. I thought it may just need lubrication or cleaning. I just dont know how to gain access to it. Anyone with any experience on this?
Thanks, Rodd

Welcome to DIESEL Bombers!!
A buddy of mine had a sticky mirror as well. Off a '01, but the same design. The glass need to be removed from the moving frame. It's glued on there pretty good. Seeing as you are in Texas, it should be warm enough that you won't have to remove it and bring it inside to warm up. It's a little different story up here right now. Once the mirror glass is off, you will see the hardware required to further disassemble the mirror, and be able to see what needs to be cleaned.

Ooh, sounds to be a PITA, but I guess I can give it a try. It may sound quirky, but I'll play with cranks, rods, Pistons, turbos and blowers all day long, any day of the week. But when it comes to things like this, Im kinda reluctant. Just goofy I guess......
Now are you saying I have to carefully pry off the glass to do this? BTW send some of that cold weather this way.
