Always up, get remarks thrown at me all the time for it but I like the visibility especially for backing up, I can't get them where I like what I see in the down position and I may sound like a grandpa but I feel safer being able to see properly behind me. Im notorious for backing into spots and I like seeing where my tires are And when in parking lots backing out of spots I can see better around the truck when s*** heads are flying through the lot. I thought they looked goofy especially on my small truck but can't beat the visabilty imho

I must be the only person in existence who can see everything just fine with my mirrors down..I don't understand the argument of being able to see more or better with them up.

Are they actually any wider when they are up?

I just flipped them up and they are 3-4" wider.

Hmmm, Ford guy here must not realize that this thread is in the Dodge Truck and Cummins Turbo Diesel Forum, and we are talking about Dodge tow mirrors. Not Ford mirrors.
