A buddy of mine has a smarty for his 04.5 will it work with my dads 99?

Common rail and VP smarties are different

dang I was hopeing it would work for lil things like enableing the high idle and 3cyl shutdown.

call your dealer and have em flash it, My dealer did the high idle flash on my 01 for free as well as the False Idle on the 06 and dads 05

OR

find a friend with a CR smarty
