Update to post #86
Decided to put a +4 qt trans pan on since we were picking up a new toy hauler with a GWVR of 19K, just over 14K dry. A 4-5" long section of the OD clutch pack retaining clip was found in the pan, so out came the trans for a rebuild & upgrade by Tim Barber in the Va Beach, Va area.
1400 miles that weekend dropping off the old trailer and picking up the new with no problems.
So here goes again:
134K on my 2004 4x4 DRW auto 3.73, all stock except for a beefed up trans, at least 50% of that is pulling a couple different trailers at 6000# to 14,500#.
