E weight rating on tires ?

Nope, I run D rated on my '06 2500 because it doesn't tow at all .... it's the wife's truck and she knows she has no business towing anything.

I ran E's on my half ton as well. Not for the load rating, but for wear characteristics. The last longer, but are a rougher ride.

In your door jamb should be a sticker with the tire specs for the vehicle, I wouldn't imagine that truck would require an E rated tire.
