Default MPGs??

what kind of MPGs is everyone getting in your truck?
specify what you drive if you post.. 2500 4x4, 3500 2wd..etc.
I have a tacoma and get about 20 MPG and have thought about gettin
another diesel instead of gas burner. i drive 20 minutes to work everyday..
what do you all think is best?

2500 4x4 mega,
empty with bed cover on.
25 on interstate (70mph) have seen 26 if i avoid the urge to pass, 15.5 in town. All by what cpu says not hand calculated. i have a 700 mile all interstate trip this friday. going to run 80 out and speed limit back, and hand calc both. if i could get to 27 i could do 1000 miles per tank. maybe a water/meth system to put me over the top.

5690 lb tandom 12x6x8 (weighed at the county dump) 17.7 at 65-70 on the highway.

20 minutes of intown or highway?, going to make a big diffrence in fuel consumption. i drive about 11 miles a day intown round trip, daycare work daycare home. My 08 dodge 1500 v-8 (the smallest one, less than 300 cubes i beleive) stick did about the same as i get now, but never broke 22 on the highway.
towing the same trailer i got 9-10 mpg and couldn't break 65 mph, this was my major reason for buying a diesel, as i plan to do alot more towing when i retire next year.

What all kind of mods do you have? I am not familiar with all the diesel engines that much, but whats the water/meth system?
15 minutes intersate and 5 minutes in town.. right off the interstate.
You thinkin the diesel will be better just because it uses less when pulling? i also have to remember that it has a bigger tank and cost more to fill up.. unless that makes up for the amounts of time im filling up the tacoma..

I get about 17 mpg, half in town half out of town driving with the truck in my signature and the Flashpaq on Performance tune. If i drive all highway, around 55-60 i get around 20-21 mpg

'06 2500 QCSB. In town it gets around 14, on the highway 18 to 19 if I keep my foot out of it.

'08 3500 QCLB SRW. In town it gets around 12, and on the highway 15.5 @ 75 MPH.

Thanks for the responses... I am going to keep mine mostly stock as far as motor and intake and all.. Anyone got pretty close to stock trucks that get good gas mileage?

mods listed in sig, not that much stuff really. i don't have much knowledge on the water/meth systems. basically injecting a water/meth mix into the intake cools exhaust gasses and claims mpg gains. here is one companies kit Snow Performance: Products
