Here is one from the same site that has a video of the inspection.
Diesel Vehicle Smog Check Inspections Information

This one is on the Executive Order Parts Pending This link only tells you what is being looked at it does not tell you if they are leagal to use.http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...gress_list.pdf

this is a lengthy PDF on Aftermarket parts. Aftermarket, Performance and Add-On Parts

This one is important to look at!

Straight pipe and air intake just lets it breathe better, I don't see how that could affect a smog test untill you start adding fuel.

If thats all you are doing is straight piping a non Catalitic exhaust system? You might be OK. However; Ignorance of the laws is of no excuse. So make sure for your self!

I just did mine and the Tech told me they just check for smoke and programmers on the intake for a C.A.R.B number. They have a list of parts that are ok and not ok, I would ask about the intake first befor you test it. Ohh and I passed with Banks turbo back 4" intake elbow but had to disconnet the programmer.

Has anyone passed the smog test with a straight pipe my truck doesn't have a Cat and I am trying to figure out if I can straight pipe my F-250 and still pass smog. Thanks.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I live in San Diego so does that mean even though I don't have Cat I still have to get smogged?

You will definately need to have the cat in place for the visual inspection and smogging. If the cat isnt there, they wont go any further with the testing......... aka FAIL.

I've passed smog before without a cat because my truck came stock without one.
