Question Tail Pipe Causing Bumper Discoloration???

Hi Folks,

I am wondering if I should be concerned... the other day I noticed my bumper (tail pipe side) had soot on it... so I wiped it off... there is still a discoloration of blue on the chrome. I am thinkin due to heat? I am sure I am not drivin down the road shootin flames or anything . I have no mods yet except for an after market AFE drop in filter & torque tube.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

The discoloration doesn't but me too much.... I was just concerned since it just recently appeared that something might be gettin too hot. Believe me I can't wait to get some mods... I am a few hundred miles away from my warranty ending. Thanks for the replies guys!

My bumper is de-chromeing because of soot, I am going to get the dealer to replace mine but I am still in the 3/36 warranty.

Yeah I wish I could screw with the lil rice burners... since I moved up here to Beautiful Northern Idaho I have been pulled over 2x's... thankfully they didn't write me up though. So I am takin it easy in the lead foot department lmao But, next time.... I will ask the ever so nice officer.... "So where can a girl go to feel her oats?"

Just wipe the soot off, then shine the bumper up with Brasso.

Glad they are not like that around here, had a car up my tail last night so I smoked it out and turned out to be a Sheriffs Car, he waved as he past though.

When you add the toys, just get used to the black. I can clean it off today and it's back the next night and my truck isn't much of a smoker. Just think of that quarter panel and bumper as a badge of honor
