Extended Warranty

Extended Warranty
I'm 1500 miles away from my factory warranty expiring and am considering buying a dodge extended warranty. I use my truck everyday and we use it almost weekly for weekend family camping/off-roading (pull about 10000 pounds). To date the truck has been pretty reliable and I've kept it bone stock. I would however like to upgrade tires and intake and don't know what that would do to extended warranty (any info would be helpful on this). At the end of the day price quote are wildly varied for exactly same warranty: Maximum Care 7years/100kmiles is quoted $2425 online vs $3409 from dealer where I bought the truck. I'm going to try a little haggling with the dealer (who I actually like, they've done pretty good on service on the few warranty fixes to date). So, what do you all think? I know $3 grand is a lot of money and if I just took that money and put it away, I could pay for at least a few fixes, but a big one (like tranny or diff) could be a killer. Thanks
