Hey all 98.5 quadcab dodge and the latches at the bottom of the quad doors are not latching is there a noted trouble? Is there a fix, or do I need to replace the bottom latches? Thanks Boondockers

 

I just had one of my doors yesterday screw up on me. Mine latches and opens just fine but the handle just kinda flops. No spring left or something. I haven't ever had one apart but I'm about to. Have you tried to lube the latches. I wouldn't think the latches them selves would go bad but maybe some of the internal parts. Sorry, not really sure on this but hopefully some one knows more about these doors

 

Ok mine open and close fine it's just that the bottom latch is not catching you can work it back and fourth when the door is open but it won't latch have to takle my clutch on tuesday so thursday will be my door latch day will let you know how I make out. Thanks

 

pull the bottom latch off. Mine had a loose pin-cost about $30 from Dodge for a new latch.
