I put a aero-turbine on mine, it's pretty quite untill you get on it, even then not bad in the cab. A buddy of mine put one on his 5.9 and its way load all the time, don't know why theres a diffrence between the 6.7 & 5.9

it seems like the brand new 6.7ls and even later 5.9's arent loud at all. not even close to the old 12 and 24 valves

should i go with a muffler or a resonator? the resonators ive been looking at are 4" in and 4" out and has a 12" long body. would that be a good suit?

If you have a 4 inch then magnaflow migt be able to help you out. They make one that's realy small in a 4 inch. It's in there race muffler section of there site.

Second the MBRP's. Mine is the just the add-in muffler and I like the tone. Doesn't drone much either pulling my trailer.

no rice burner sounding exhaust
That's kind-of hard to do with an I6 diesel engine

as far as the glass-pack style mufflers go, the longer the better for sound control (they are the cheapest)

4" glasspack! sounds sweet at a fraction of the cost. ran it on my 89 forever and it took all the harshness out of the exhaust.
