Leather seats
Well My 02 ram has the power and heated driver and passanger seats in tan leather. The passanger side isnt too bad but the drivers side is pretty ruff from sliding in and out and the seat. I have never had seats reupholstered bofero but I am thinking about doing mine. Is this prettu expensive to have done? Do you guys think it would be cheaper to just try to find some in wrecked truck or junk yard?

it's probably cheaper to find some at a junk yard. but how long will they last?
i have often thought the same thing. my seats are just cloth. but the drivers has a hole on the seam on the out side edge.
i guess if i have the money available. i would have them redone.
if i just want somthing to sit in. i would go with the junk yard

on my 96 the driver seat was broken down on the left side and has holes in it. it was cloth. i paid a local guy $280 to do the driver and passenger seats in a 2 tone Pleather (soft vinyl) grey and charcoal. he also built up the foam to make it better than it was...... most shops can do the inserts for you perty cheap.... check around and be sure to look at some of their work. also talk to people about how long they took to do the seats. i know i dropped my seats off on Monday and picked out the materials and Wednesday he called me and said they were done. i've known this guy for ~20 years though......

Thabks Johhny I will check that out, I know what you mean Bow thats kinda why I just wanna get them redone. That doesnt sound like too bad of a price at all benjamin I will look into some local shops too. I just like the heated power seats now that I have them or i would go to soething different. I dont know what but there are alot of seats out there. Do any of you guys know if seats from third gen trucks will work? I see them for sale alot it seems like.

There is almost no replacement seats out there that will work in a 2nd Gen truck beause of the integrated seat belts and this sucks. I keep threatening to install air ride seats and just mount a 4 point harness cause these seats suck.
They just played an episode on Trick My Truck where they did a 2nd Gen 3500. They installed leather seats in it and I thought alright, somebody must make em. After looking at the pictures on the net of the buildup I had to e-mail and ask them. They removed all the seatbelts from the front and back seats of this truck, so now it's illegal to drive. What a crock passin it off as a build up that can be done and then hidin these little tidbits. Not to mention that this was a farm truck that a turkey farmer uses to move his equipment trailers around with. They put 35" tires on it and a 6" lift, how many of his gooseneck trailers are gonna ride behind this truck.
OK, so I'm off topic now.
