Towing Question
When do you use the tow/haul button
I will be towing a 23ft travel trailer approx 5-6k max loaded
Should i be using the tow/haul feature all the time when traveling on the freeway or just when climbing the mountains..... & also is there a max speed limit/rpm I should go by also

RICK BEER!!
How the hell are ya, brother?!!
How's life outside the Discount?
Miss you, man!!
On to your questions.
If you don't already have a Pyrometer (Exhaust Gas Temperature gauge) and a Transmission Temp gauge, get them. They will tell you when or if you need to use tow/haul.
Me personally, I look for the coolest EGT and tranny temp to tow with. Low heat = longevity, right?
On the other side of the scale is fuel mileage.
Towing in OD not generally recommended unless you are on a pretty flat road... Of course, I want my truck to last FOREVER, with the least amount of major repairs (tranny rebuilds, etc.)
More will chime in, I'm sure.
Good luck to you, Brother!

I just found out for myself on how the truck performed....I used the tow/haul function in the city..The stop & go situations seemed to pull alot better from a dead stop, on the highway I had the OD off untill I pulled the 6% hills...For the Arizona folks I was able to climb the Camp Verde hill & the Bumble Bee hill on I-17 with no problem 65-70 mph @ 1900-2000 rpm
infact there were sevral moments I could not feel the trailer even when decending down the mountains (once i got the bracke controller dialed in)
I need to get guages installed so I can monitor my EGT's.. not knowing is going to bug the hell out of me

i use tow haul till i reach 45 mph then turn it off this will help with fuel econ and power, engage it goin down hill it'll help out with savin your bakes, goin up hill it'll keep from boggin your engin down. Not to mention it sounds pretty cool too, just dont go too fast with it on its hard on your engine you can tell when it gets to that point though
