Default 2wd Lo

I have an 08 dodge, with on the dash 4wd control. How is it I can disable the front vaccum, in order to back trailers easier?

hmmmm......gonna be hard for a electronic t-case, with a manual it would be easier.....but if you look around you will find a kit im sure.....

home_page_full_pull_towing my truck is the same way, electronic shift..i saw it in diesel power and checked it out...been thinkin bout gettin one for my truck...i get in some pretty damn steep places with mine pullin out with a load...maybe this will help

Thanks, but it seems its only for up to 2001 Dodges

if its a manual CAD disconnect then yes it will work on 2001 and older, but 2002 and up didnt have a cad, look into a Free Spin kit from EMS with lockout hubs....

its like 1100 for the EMS kit and you dont ever have to worry about unitized hubs again.....

if your not worryed about getting out to lock in the hubs dyna trac has a nice conversion have done a few

Your '08 doesn't have a vacuum CAD like the 2nd gens did. All the 2003 and above Dodges have the 9.25 AAM front axles that are constantly driven. When you select 4wd on your truck, whether or not your t-case is electronic or manual, the only thing that happens is the t-case will then drive the front drive-shaft. The front axle is permanently "locked in". The only way to un-lock the front axle is with a "free-spin" kit like the ones offered by EMS Off Road, Solid Axle or Dynatrac. All these kits replace the lame, non-serviceable unit-bearing hubs with Dana 60 style spindles and manual lockout hubs. They also feature 35-spline outer shafts and serviceable Timken wheel bearings that you can get at any auto parts shop. The kits are expensive, some upwards of $2000.00, but the returns are 2wd-lo, greatly reduced front drive-train wear, less drive-train vibration, better steering "feel" and improved fuel economy.

and they are twice the cost of the EMS kit......thats why i never bought the Dynatrac.....the EMS kit is 1100 bucks.....
