2004...what do you guys think?
Alright, well as some of you have seen, my truck is getting sold to my buddy when he gets out of boot camp July 9th. I have been looking for a high mileage dually six speed. Well I cam across this truck and gave the guy a call. He did the swap him self, seems very knowledgeable about the truck. He has had it since 2005 and bought it from a buddy who is the original owner. The truck its self has 300,000 miles and the front end was rebuilt at 175,000. I am guessing it would need new ball joints again at least sometime soon if at all. For the motor, it was replaced with a 2006 motor that has 70,000 miles on it now. It has the stock transmission but new clutch. The computer in the truck is still 2004 but the engine is 2006. I just want to know what you guys think about the truck. I am going to watch the auction and see how high the bid gets if it does get above $10,000 at all.
Let me know what you think, good or bad! I am asking for your honest opinions.
Thanks for the help!

I have looked all over autotrader....cannot find something too too cheap.
I was a high mileage dually because most are 2006 or around there and have been using for pulling their whole life and I can get one pretty cheap with a newer body style.
Thanks for the help!

Just by this picture I think that it is not a 06 head, looks like a 03-05 head. Ask him for a pic of the other side of the motor also, that will be a for sure give away if it is a 03-05 head or a 06 head.
When you get them post them, I have a 06 outside, and I can tell you that is not the valve cover of a 06 which leads me to believe that it probably is not a 06 head, a pic of the other side will reveal the truth though. 06 have two injector harness connectors, 03-05 have three.
