Default Rear swap

A buddy of mine has a 00 2500 dodge 4x4 with 3.55's, i have a 96 2500 4x4 with 4.10's.

both automatics, rear wheel abs, cummins, my rear drums are machined to fit the 00-02 wheels.

What else would hinder us swapping axles? also would we have to change anything with our transmissions for shift points and what not.

we are swapping entire axles, not just r&p's.

Thanks
Cody
