Default rear sway bar

I have a 2nd gen but it may cross over to other years. How important is the rear sway bar? One of my axle mounts for it has fallen off and dont know if I should replace the mount or just remove the bar. Any opinions?

If you don't haul anything that is gonna make the truck top heavy, in particular a heavy weight camper it does most of nothin for the truck. The gasser 2500 and 3500 trucks come mostly without them unless you get the camper package on the truck.

Only thing I haul in the back of the truck is my quad, otherwise I trailer everything else.

Default Sway Bar

The '08's don't even come with them. I'm probably going to remove the one on my '01.

The 08 is made to run with out it. I would not remove it. DODGE put it there for a good reason.

It's there as part of the Camper package that every Diesel comes standard with in these years, in the gassers it was an option. The Diesel also came standard with the tow package having the oversized radiator and alternator but in Gassers this was also an option.
