Found a deal on a 6 spd just wondering what this setup may be worth.. NV4500 3rd and 5th sincronizers new in october At that time it was pulled apart and inspected everything was good except that. I had the bigger input shaft put in with the 5th gear update. The flywheel was also new then, it's the type with a ball bearing in the center. Clutch is half ceramic, and that's all i know about it. It's pretty stout tho. The only thing that I know of that's wrong with the transmission is the aluminum top case that houses all the shifting forks is cracked, and leaks a little oil. nothing big tho. whats it worth?

 

does it have the bolt on shifter piece on the top plate or is it one piece?

 

its just one piece. If I remember right you have to take a snapring out to get the shifter out

 

I got $600 out of my 5 speed tranny with no bellhousing or input shaft...

 

just to let ya know a nv4500 is a 5speend not 6

 

ya I found that out when i went to shift into 6th.. JK.. I found a deal on an nv5600 and was going to do a swap, and put a 6 spd into my truck.. (IF) I can get a buyer for mine.. If not it's not a big deal.. This one shifts good, and is pleanty stout for waht i do with it, i've just always wanted a 6spd..

 

What are you thinking of asking for it?

 

if you break the 6 speed plan on spending alot of money to rebuild it, cause one parts are VERY hard to come by and two, most of the parts are aftermarket and cost a arm and a leg, stick with the 5 speed if you dont want the hassles.....

 

well the 6spd is gone already. I'll probably just stick with th 5..
