Default dynomat? or something else

ok guys i noticed either my pilot bearing or throught bearing is scwealing sometimes bad sometimes not. i dont want to pull the tranny just yet since i just rebuilt the motor. i was wondering if a person could put some of that dynomat stereo noice block in to reduce the noise level. is there any other sound proofer i could use to rap the belhousing with till i get the ambition and time to pull the tranny this summer?

My brother did his stereo comp. car with FatMat, and likes it. It's a lot cheaper too.

Napa in Livingston MT carried some stuff in a bulk roll that was basically the same. I don't recall what the stuff was, I think it might have been through 3m. It comes in a big blue roll.

I've used the FatMat and it works really well but for a couple weeks you'll want to let it air out well because it's an asphalt based goo backed with foil makes it smell like a road paver went through your truck. but it works really well at a fraction of the price of dynamat...

much better stuff out there than dynomat. Sheet lead works very well!

dynomat does not block sound like lead. It just changes the frequency which the metal reverberates. Foam will absorb some noise, but does not add mass and change the reverberation.

check your local roofing supply place or get mass loaded vinyl MLV like they use in home theaters. You will be much happier.
