Hello, Yes Im a newbee and need lots of help.

In September after having the Injector pump, PCM, ECM and heater plate replaced I just had to reinstall the Edge box for the guages only. I didnt want to connect the Inj pump tap wire just in case this pump have problems and I would have to take it back to the dealer and have them tell me the new warranty is voided.

When I reconnected the juice guages the only thing that would work was the PYRO and the FUEL PRESS displays. I figured it had something to do with the fact I didnt have the tap hooked up.

So now I have finally decided if its gonna blow its gonna blow and I wont be going back with a stock vp44 anyway if it does so I hooked the tap back up and it did NOTHING.

I still only have fuel press and pyro for monitor and NO additional power regardless of level.

So my question: Is my EDGE Juice w/Attitude DOA or could it be something else, PCM or ECM???

 

if the truck runs then it aint the PCM of ECM...I would call up Edge see what they say, they will probably have you mail the chip to them and they will re set it...

 

did you plug it into the map sensor and data link that the edge gets all the info from?

 

Yeah, to be sure I even took it to the guys I bought (who also installed) the EDGE box and had them check that it is all hooked up correctly.

I just went out to check for codes and there are none.

If my MAP sensor was bad would the truck still run???

 

yes, itd run. its your edge, mine done something exactly like that back in january

 

Call Edge and send it in to be bench tested.

 

You don't have it plugged into the MAP sensor do you? That is where it gets its power levels from, that is where the warranty will be voided. The Edge gets its gauge readings from the OBDII port under the dash, not the MAP. When I initially had a problem with my edge, I unhooked the map sensor, and my problem went away, and I still had all the gauges.

 

I know on his 02 like my 01 you hook into the data link and the map sensor as the map sensor is what makes the power and they are 2 totally different plugs and will not work with eachother
