Mag-Hytec #AA 14-9.25 Front Diff cover on 08's an up
Big fat warning to all you 6.7 guys.
The 6.7's have a different angle on the steering box and hydraulic assist brackets. The Mag-Hytec #AA 14-9.25 Front Diff cover are in the way and do not clear. My truck is in for some warranty work and they are switching out our 06 gear w/ the new redesigned 08 parts. My Mag-Hytech is coming off and the stock diff cover is going back on at this time.
I called Mag-Hytec and they know about the clearance issue. They are not yet working on a new design for the cover. They were nice enough to offer to mill it for free for us though if we mark where it is hitting and send it to them.
Thought you should know it would not clear before you plunked down the almost $300 for a front cover though.
Here is the TSB info that got my 06 upgraded to the 08 parts:
TSB #22-005-06

2003-2007 (DR/DH/D1/DC) Ram Truck (2500/3500)

Symptom/Condition:
The customer may experience a self sustaining vibration (shimmy) felt in the front end of the vehicle after striking a bump or pothole.

Just an update...got the truck back so now I can see exactly what is catching on what...so here you go...
