Default Tip wont Fit - Ideas?

i recently put 5" exhaust on my 06. i got a silverline 5- 6in tip to go with it. the tip wont fit. its almost like either the pipe is a little bigger than 5, or the tip is a little small. ive got the screw backed out all the way loose on the tip. anybody had a problem like this? i tried wd-40, didnt really help. just wanted to see if anybody had any ideas before i just return the tip.

cut a small slit in the pipe from th truck, then get some radiator hose and screw it together. the space occupied by the slit will eventually close and then the tip should slip on. then remove the radiator hose. hope you understand that, and hope it works!

Don't know anything about it but couldn't you cut the pipe square to length and weld it on?
How far off is it?

Get a good set of oven mitts and stick the tip in the oven at 350 and heat it up. No specific time, just get it good and hot and it should expand enough to slip it on. Let it cool down put the bolt back into the tip and snug it up!

Your tip won't fit?? Sounds like a personal problem. Maybe you should find a bigger girl.

Sorry, couldn't help it.
