12V is the cheaper option but not the greatest. CR gives you the ability to shut down the power in the programming. 12V the only thing you got is the Valet switch which still going to have a significant amount of power. I still believe that a CR is your best option.

I think i will most likely build a CR. a 500hp 12v would be 500hp all day right? but with a CR you could control the power level to a more streetable level and also have some control over milage too, something like a smarty tnt.

I dont think i would immedtly get the BD R700 twins. The basic twins to start off and some reasonable injectors to get it moving. With 90hp injectors and BD small twins would supporting mods to the engine be required???.... rods, studs, ect

A fellow chapter member hit 455/815 on an 06 with just a Smarty Jr & Puck stack.
Here's some info on the 53 block.

Yes Studs are a must with Twins. Stock internals are good up to 1000 hp +. Yes a CR is your best bet if your wanting mileage and whatever. A 12v is power all the Time Valet Switch just cuts back on a little bit of the fuel delivery. BD little twins you can still see 500 hp and will be perfect. CR is still your best bet. Painless makes a Harness for them if you want to do a transplant.

i would think that a CR would be the easiest. put an aggresive chip and a smarty on it, combined with twins and youd probly be near 500. youll need a Fass/Airdog though id think.

500 with a set of twins and a good programmer is a cake walk with the cr. especially if your planning on a set of nozzles. what would you be putting this in?

That body.

But im thinking of replacing my 94.5 stroke for a 96-02 2500 ext cab 4x4 long box 5.9 diesel.

Did they ever that body style 2500 with a common rail in it?? Id want a 03+ engine but I dont like that body style of the 03s and up

Ive heard good things about MPI twins and would like to run them

I saw a nice 2001 2500 black 4x4 5" lift 35" BFG m/ts ext cab long box, had chrome on the lower panels, nice rims, had exhaust and guages, the guy reved it pushing black, seeing me looking at the truck. God dam did that ever make me want one
