Default Power window... switch or motor?

what is most common to go bad the window motor or the switch? The drivers side window in my truck is weird sometimes it will work and when it does it's pretty slow, which leads me to believe the motor.

I would say moter. Pull that little plastic panel off that olds the switchs and swith the drivers and passenger side switch out and see what happens. If it is the switch i have heard of contact cleaner reviveing them.

My experience with the ones on my wife's Durango is that the cable assembly fails, which drags the motor down, then the cable gets hung up or brakes. She has had your symptoms on 3 of her doors. I take the door panel off, then hook the switch back up and watch the motor activate the cable and pulley's. You should be able to tell immediately if the cable is failing, because it should move fairly fast and smooth. I get the replacement units at Checker (Kragen), as they have a lifetime guarantee, and I have had to replace one of them as well. Hope this helps
