ya i not a fan of them optimas had one in my bobcat also and only lasted one winter my advice is just stick with the interstate ive had an interstate green deep cycle in my 87 chevy pickup since 1996 and still starts as good as the day i bought it

The other thing this may be here is a combination of weak batteries and the high idle feature kickin in. That 3 cylinder idle can sound pretty mean if you don't know what it is.

ECM cuts off fuel or power to 3 injectors when the outside temp is cold enough for the high idle.

ya bud it may just be the combination of low batteroes with the cold it wouldnt hurt to test them with a volt meter

You can also plug in your block heater on your truck when the weather gets colds.
