Im not sure if this is the right place for this thread, but does anybody know how much a decent paint job would cost for a 98 ext cab long bed?

If no body work is involved and you use regular paint, I'd say around $2500. If you add body work and fancy paint, that's where the expense comes in.

They have to prep the surface to accept new paint, biggest part of the job, and the most expensive. If they slapped on a new coat, and didn't prep it like Maaco does, be around $500. Paint is cheap, the labor is what bites you in the ***.

Even a Maaco 2 stage job is $1500 now, yeah you can get the cheap 1 stage paint for under 1k but it will last if your lucky 2 years. I was quoted 4k for my dually but when this guy is done it will look way better and straighter than new.

O yea I guess that makes sense. I figured they could just spray on the new paint thats why 2500 sounded a little over the top to me
