How hard is it to install? Any tips? I’m about to add one for some new rubber and just wondering what’s involved.

 

Its really a piece of cake. The drivers side sucks worse than the passenger side due to the fact the steering holds the axle up further. Just use a couple 1" ratchet straps to compress the spring a bit and it will fit.

 

This also depends on what route your takin. Are you just throwin a set of spacers in there or going with the new taller springs. I had the spacers and hated how they made the truck ride so I got rid of them and went with the taller soft ride springs. Made all the difference in the world in my truck.

yeah should be a cake walk, im waiting for my 3'' spacer.

 

Chris, AZ Tools in Alma has spring compressors for like $8.00 a pair.. they work great, and thats dirt cheap... The levelling kit will be a cinch for you bud.

I use strut compressors myself that I rent from Auto Zone for free. 2 sets per spring. Don't ever under estimate how stout things springs are and the damage one would do if it snapped lose.

 

I installed the skyjacker D25 on my truck, new front 2.5 coils, lower control arms, front bump stops, and rear add a leaf. It took me 6 1/2 hours, the instructions say it takes 6 hours. Its not really hard, you just gotta think about what you are doing, and have some mechanical comprehension.

 

not a bad job have one on mine with 6" springs unbolt the track bar at the frame and gives more flex to get it in
