Default AFE Pro-Dry or Amsoil Nano

I'm going to be building my own intake, and can't decide on wich filter. I am in a rural part of the world around alot of dirt, and I'm not a fan of oil'd gauze filters. Just wondering if anyone has any preference about either filter, good bad or the ugly. Thanks alot-Aaron.

I run the amsoil nano. and it does a good job. I also run the filter skin over it. I am happy with the amsoil one. But I dont believe the AFE one has been out very long so getting an opinion on it might be hard.

Go with the washable AFE.

There is also the AEM Dryflow and AEM Workhorse.

Actually, to be honest. Im not sure.


I thought you had to blow it out with an air hose but I could be wrong on that.

I ordered the amsoil filter and prefilter from Heath. Top notch guy and fast shipping. I have heard some bad things about the amsoil filters collapsing as well as letting dirt in. I'm just keeping an eye on mine really closely. So far so good though.

These filters are not washable, just air or vacuum. The prefilter spoken about above is a good idea too..keeps the big stuff out out and repels water if the filter is sitting in a place that can get water.
If you know the size of your inlet tube, I can get you some size options and prices if you like.
