here it is:

I would think if it was the KDP there could be/would be a lot more oil than this. Maybe just your timing cover gasket is leaking? Either way, its time to take care of your dowel pin. Theres no one mechanical around that can give you a hand?

Thanks Doc

If I do it ill go to a pal of mine named Jasen he has more tools than me and a lot nicer shop. Hes known on the net as Pack Mule. Anyway that’s what I was saying its not nearly the amount from my 97. Im going to clean it really well tonight and see if I can find the location. But as far as I can tell at the moment the highest place that has oil on the timing cover is around the fan mount ….

I hosed it down with degreaser and then some water. But I still cant find the leak its only a small dime to nickel size drip when I leave it for a little while. I have held my cracked old timing case up against the front of the truck and it looks to be from the same place…. SO now I have no idea what to do. Well actually I know I need to tear into it but im still being lazy and have almost no time in my schedule for it.

put some oil dye in it ...take it for a little drive then get a blacklight and start goin over your front end. I used it for a leak a while back and you would be amazed how fast you find the leak!
