6BT/ 13spd? Can It Be Real?
if it was a straight 13 speed i would try and find something that i could split the gears with and have a nice 26 gear ranges..........
all thirteens have a hi low range and an overdrive, it would be way to heavy for our trucks and be lucky to get it between the rails.

A 13 speed weighs around 600-700 pounds...and is about 34" long, give or take a few.
Just going from memory, but the clutch housings are ~14" diameter. SAE 0, 1, 2 or 3 bellhousings depending on the engine...IIRC the B series uses the SAE #1 but don't quote me.

welcome to the site. I've heard the 3rd gens are a pain to swap to a manual. I've also driven quite a few 3rd gen/48re's before and after getting GOOD builds and I think I'd rather have an auto built right, it's unbelievable!
In the interest of keeping things practical here, you could go with a 15 double overdrive and keep or better your highway mileage. You would probably just use the top five or six when empty and whenever you wanted to pull something really heavy drop it onto the low side. Hell, in that case I would find another way to actuate the high and low sides of the trans and avoid having to have an air supply to shift it.
Really the ideal trans would be a 9 speed with a deeper O/D and tall first

Yeah, I know how you can do it a HELL OF A LOT cheaper. Trade the damn thing,LOL.

but seriously, I saw a video on Youtube, wish I had the link, of a Chevy dually some offroad shop did. It had a twin turbo 12V and a 10spd hooked up to it, it was pretty damn sweet, and this is comin from somebody that's not much of a fan of GM.
