Angry Trans Trouble?!

my trans is definately on its way out and im not sure what to do. do i go for the dodge rebuild with a 3 yr 100,000 mile warranty for $3,500 or an aftermarket like a suncoast for about the same money and less warranty?

go with an aftermarket. stay away from ats though i hear nothin but bad things about them. Goerend seems to be the popular choice here. he seems like he will set you up the best. just tell them what you use your truck for most the time and they will get you going.

both my brothers have Dave Goerend's converter/VB in their 3rd gens; I 'saved' some money on my 2nd gen auto and regretted it every time I drove it.

aside from having excellent quality products, Goerend's customer service is downright impressive, lifetime converter warranty, he doesn't offer a warranty with a million loopholes for him to get out of honoring it and stands behind his products above and beyond what he HAS to do; it's kinda weird in today's world, he carries out his business with common sense and integrity.

One brother cooked his trans drag racing on his street performance build, converter and VB were there the day after it was torn down; my brother paid for a few more upgrades that he probably should've done before he started competing. but both transmissions work extremely well and are SOO much nicer than the stock build.

what year truck do you have?

I could give you some reviews, but I'm afraid they will be biased.

just give dave goerend a call, talk to him for a bit and see what you think. then do the same with suncoast. I've been around a fair amount of diesel guys, from stock engine to competition only, I have NEVER heard a bad thing from a Goerend customer...

Thats a very fair comment. Competition is good for the business in all aspects.
