Default New 1500 ecodiesel

So I don't really need my 2005 dually anymore and I'm thinking about down sizing. The 1500 ecodiesel seems like the perfect pickup for my needs now. My only concern is that 2-6 times a year I travel cross country with a slide in camper and pulling a bass boat. Even with air bags does anyone think a half ton could handle that load

I personally wouldn't be trying that. Seems just a little too heavy IMO.

A 1/2 ton is exactly that: 1/2 ton payload in the bed, period. That's a 1000#, including tounge weight. So, I have yet to see a slide in weight only a 1000#, let alone gear and a boat behind you. You have the ultimate, proven tow rig and are considering a unproven, let alone plain flat out unsafe option for your stated needs????

Yes it will pull them and get you there no problem I've seen it done but it's hard on the pickup and not the smartest thing to do
