I drove a 2014 at a mine site for 2 months. There were all sorts of weird little issues with the truck. Check engine light was on atleast once a week and when I drove the 250km to the dodge dealer they said it was "normal" and they just re-set it. There was no lack of power and the two stage exhaust brake was pretty sweet on the steep hills. I'd wait until 2015 and see if they work the bugs out of that motor.

So as right now looks like i'm hold off and see if i can get the fuel gemlin outta the fuel system and keep 03 for another year or two then buy new one maybe 2015, and that really nice one i fell in love they still have the truck ! but really don't want don't need that much extra stuff, but i'll keep the 03 till she too rotting and looks as bad as my 91 did, still shooting my self in the foot for getting rid old girl but would cost way too much to fixer her as she lived in NH for all her life !

Well on the high side , the new 2014 does get better MPG than the 2013 due to the DEF and such, also the DEF can go fairly far, as for the DPF, it too will not get fowled up because the DEF causes the fuel to burn cleaner through the DPF...

If you did decide to get the 2014, make sure ya get a good warrentee and service plan in place before ya sign ..
