found a 94 6 speed 2500. reg cab 4x4. 220 on it. wondering if i can convert the axles to 1st gen axle with 3.07 gearing? i found to axles for 1200. prob get them cheaper then that. im not looking to make it a race car but just want that 1st granny gear like a regular 1st gear on a 5 speed.

i wouldnt know why it would have a push-button start if the key works.. how much extra effort does it take to turn a key...

id wait on a 2nd gen or a very nice 1st gen which is hard to find

whats the gearing on the truck currently? id just leave it alone if i were you.. and be patient if the truck doesnt fit the bill. theres a truck out there close to you thats EXACTLY what you want.. just takes time to find it. took me a year and a half of constant looking and many miles of wasted time until i found mine. be patient and you'll be better off in the end! and mine has higher gearing, but my 1st gear is pretty damn low still and its a 6 speed. i wouldnt want it to be any more grannier

good luck with your search!

no offense, but i honestly wouldnt waste 3500 on it. from all the little things you said were wrong on it, i dont think it would be worth the time. but thats just me. usually theres LOTS of other little things they "forget" to mention

right i hear ya for sure. its scary. lot can go wrong. he is asking almost 4500 and he said he would take 3500 if i had it. he said a bunch of other people offerd 3500 but havent gone to look at the truck and one guy offered 3800 but hasent come to look at it. it would be a nice truck if it didnt have so many little things that i know of. brakes, windows etc... it looks great and that makes it hard to say no

I asked if thats wht he ment. he said no its just has a button to start it and it had a key start. doesnt make sense

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

he bought it froma guy who did all this work to the truck and sold t because the windows stopped working and the brake pedal got hard. he said the guy sold it instead of fixing it. this guy bought it for 500 to fix up but just bought a 2006 duramax and is selling his project trucks 2 pay for this truck. so he paid 3500 and put the tires and rims on it for an other 500. it seems it would be worth it to fix up sicehe invested 500 ut its hard to say. and this guy doesnt know much about the truck hge told me it had a different fuel plate and i correctd him saying it was fuel pin. he doesnt know much about the truck. also he live 2 hours away so for me to get the truck homei would drive it which he doesnt think i should or is buddy can haul it to my house for 200 bucks. wht to do??? I could tell hime ship it up and ill check it out and buy it if its nice or pay the driver 200 and have it go back. whats everyone think
