Well I just wanted to put a thread out there for the next guy thats lookin for some cheap affordable speakers.

I bought some Wal mart Sony Xplodes 4 way speakers for 103 bucks for two 6X9's and two 5.25 speakers, for the dodge it only took me two hours to get em out and in. I do have a Sony Xplode 1000W amp that came with the truck, But I realy like these speakers they have a nice tone and have done all the ranges really well, and I like the thump the bass gives, and the only bass I have is outta of the speakers, so when these suckers go out (Hopefully not any time soon) Ill be more than happy to buy them again. This is also a major improvement from only having two working speakers and one making a fuzzin noise all the time which sucks for the 10 hour drive to arizona. But they came with new wire to splice, in and good instructions, I went to ram forums for the wire colors and they work wonderfully. Hope this helped someone.!

 

I had a set of xplodes and they sounded great! But after hooking them up to an amp they blew after a few months I then put some Type R's in and they lasted me a year and a half until i completely sunk my Jeep... That was the end of them

 

Ill repost this and see how they last I dont blare my music either so they might last me a while, but the sound ahella lot better than what i had.

 

If you dont turn it up as high as they will go then im sure you'll be okay! I just was a moron with them that's all!

 

, well i will see !!! they have a 250 WATT max so 1000/4 is 250 watts a speaker so I will find out I will hope they will last
