Thumbs up The Peski Coolant Leak, Rear Bypass.....

hose has finally got a fix. I'm pretty sure you all know which one I'm talking about, passenger rear of engine. I took the truck back in yesterday for the leak, again, and was informed that DC finally has a TSB, for the problem. Appearantly there is an updated clamp kit for it. They overnighted the parts, so I'm on my way back to the dealer this morning for the fix. I will post Part #s and pics if anyone is interested?

Updated 1/20/08

Here are the part #'s
-Hose -5179114AB
-Clamp -5179115AA

Went to the dealer today and one of the pieces wasn't shipped. I rescheduled for later this week. I'll keep everybody updated.

I just put my own hose clamps on it...fixed it in 10 minutes for about 3 bucks and no dealership headaches.

I had mine into the dealership a couple weeks ago, tired of the leak everytime the temps change. They installed a new silicone hose and new clamps. The old rubber hose with the metalic foil insulation and small clamps are history.

Bumping this from the dead. Mine started leaking on me today. The dealer will fix if you are still under the 3/36 dodge warranty. I am past that so I priced the parts. It is $16 for the hose and $2 each for the clamps. I am currently looking for an alternative since 7/8" heater hose is hard to come by and I really do not want to buy a four inch piece of hose from the stealership for $4/inch.
