Default Safety Recall H46 - Mopar Steering Linkage

If my steering damper mounts to the tie rod tube but the part number of my pitman arm is 52106836AB, do I still have to have the dealer replace the inner drag link joint and pitman arm?

Also, after backing my trailor, I found that could not turn my steering wheel to the right without a great deal of straining from me and my power steering pump. At one point during the trailor parking process I had to cut the tires real sharp. Did I damage something by cutting the tires too sharp or is this a symptom of the issues related to the recall? Any input would appreciated.

H46 gives you the whole new '08-up steering linkage, replacing the crappy inverted Y system of earlier years.

Do I get the whole new steering linkage even if my steering damper mounts to the tie rod tube?

If so, do you think not being able to turn my steering wheel to the right without a great deal of straining of this result of damage caused by this recall issue?

I had no clue about this, until I read this thread!

So, I called the dealership on my '06 3500 and asked if there were any kind of recalls on my VIN and they said, "Yes, we have one on your steering linkage."

We never received mail on this!
Thanks for posting this or I would have never known.
