Default Dyno Slips.....

So last night a local shop owner let a bunch of us diesel boys test out his new dyno that was just put in earlier in the week.... I took my 12v down there expecting to get the same hp and tq number that i got before (812hp 1590tq). After the first run I had some ajustment to make after i laid down only 800lbft. I asked the shop owner what the dyno was good too and he said 2000 lb ft of torque is what it is rated to. Apparently not because on my second run i had the truck dialed in and i layed down 1300 lb ft and climbing fast and then the lights flickered in the shop and the dyno flat lined. I was kicked off and not allowed back with my 12v but maybe another truck that doesnt have quite as much power.... Has anyone else done this? I wanna hear from you guys.

never dynoed my 04, or laid near as much down as your cummins did in my 96. (450/600) but you should enter the diesel power challenge. your truck could easily compete with the other trucks e2

Nice... I've seen a few dyno's flat lined, but never seen the lights flicker.

He should not have been mad at you, he should be mad at the guy that sold him the dyno!
