any body know of a good place where i can get a rebuild tranny or a complete swap in the Houston area?

 

I bet the guys at DI could give you hand, or alteast an idea of were to go.

 

i know of DI their shop is about 45 minutes from where i live, anywhere else? hows their rate for install

 

I've heard about a guy in Columbus, about the same distance, but I dont know any of his contact info, just hearsay.

 

i know theres all kinds of transmission shops around town, my dad knows this fella in downtown Houston who has a tranny shop, but hes scared with messing the the Allison 1000, hes never seen one go bad before. and then there people like Mr.Transmission who could do it also, but i pretty much handing them my life savings if i go to them

 

Yeah I know the feeling, thats why I ordered from goerends and put it in myself

 

i would do that myself even though i wouldn't have the faintest idea of what i was doing but after looking a a few diagrams ill muster up enough confidence to do it anyway, but i just dont have the equipment or the space to do that kinda job. so i gotta take it somewhere"give:

I heard good things about Mike's from a guy IIRC labor was $1200 on his.

 

i talked to some guy in marble falls, about 3 hours from here, and he said heel do it for 800

 

Talk to Nate or David at DI and tell them I sent you. You are not going to find a better shop, establishment, or team within 300 miles. They can set you up with the best that ATS has to offer and tune it to the way you drive and your power level.
