:humm: well there is a option to reset my transmission with the quad, but its no techII
i guess ill just have to drive it out and turn up my tuner |
Yes, the Quad will reset the TAPS. It wont put it in fast learn but it will at least get you shifting smoothly by the end of next week. Do not hammer your truck while its in this mode. Start out with a moderate power level like a tow tune and be easy on the throttle for about 2 days. Then bump it up and get a little more aggressive on the throttle for two more days. On the last 6 or 7 days turn it up to the power level you will drive it at and get pretty rough with it. The TCM will adapt accordingly.

Take your truck up to 60mph, stick it in 1st gear, let the tranny slow you down to 5mph.
Do this three times. That will teach the tranny. (dont be scared, it will not hurt the tranny) |
i got it in an economy tune right now...i hate it but its already getting smoother i don't think i have to reset it ive driven it alot. i went from marble falls to down town Austin back to katy, i did alot of shifting in marble falls and Austin because of the hills and stuff.

(dont be scared, it will not hurt the tranny) lol ive done that once while going 30, felt like the truck fell on its face, i had it on cruise in the hills and while going down the hills it would jerk back and forward easing its way down the hills at 70. man i gotta try that with some one and scare the piss out of them, itsnt the transmission supposed to remain in neutral till it hits a low enough speed for 1st? or maybe that was just my 03 sierra that did that. |
uuummm...you REALLY dont want to be dont that on that freshly built tranny with clutches that arent seated yet.
BTW- I highly recommend you switch to TranSynd or the Amsoil TorqueShift fluids. |
