What they need to do is designate an area for it.
DM...
They do have an area for the burnouts...
Its Sunday at the drag strip when they do that.

As for the alcohol induced lunacy, why does it even have to be there?.
There is a way to drink and not act like a complete and total jagoff, but,it seems that alcohol and being stupid seems to go hand in hand with diesel related events. Its almost like people think that just because they are bringing money into an area it allows them a free pass with the law.The NADM show at Numidia was the first diesel related event that I went to that the crowd was in control and not out of hand, more shows and promoters need to take a look at how they handled that show. One thing was for sure, the local LEO's were in full force and when I chatted with them late that Saturday only 1 arrest was made outside the grounds for stupidity.Even the motel scene was cool and under control and not out of hand.

Was it a model for all to look at,who knows, but when you had families going home with smiles on their faces and major incidents I'd say it was a step in the right direction.....Andy

For years and years and years there has been organized motorsports events and for years and years and years there has been non organized alcohol drinking burnouts in the general vicinity of the events

people whine and cry about it in our world , like were diesel truck driving idiots because we blow smoke , do burn outs and drink beer at or around our events ,

wake up its not like we invented this. and we shouldn't be looked at any differently than any other automobile enthusiasts groups.

We have had the mopar nationals in columbus for years and every year main street in heath is lined with bystanders and people run out and pour bleach right on the road (4 lane BTW) and they raise hell all night long and nothing is said !

1 diesel truck driver blows smoke and he is scorn like he is a scum bag.

People need to get off there high horse .

Can wee control it ... NOPE and neither has any other group , But we can desenate a back road for raising hell to keep it away from those who do not want to partake in it .

When i was at SDX they used the PRIVATE road behind the hotels and that was fine. and there was no trouble at all ... when i went to IRP the next year one cop said do it here so they did for 30 mins than another cop would run them off and say go here and do it ... ALL NIGHT LONG then guess what happen ...people started doing it everywhere in parking lots and ect and it was a disaster .

Is there anything wrong with it ... sometimes yeah can you stop it from happening ... NOPE all you can do is say hey fellas want to raise hell do it here and 99.9% will flock to the area , Crisis Adverted

Start the Show everyone is happy and safe

DM...
Again...
I understand what your saying but it has ZERO to do with other shows here,it has to do with diesel owners. For your information at the Mopar Nationals this year big problems were had and I would be suprised if again they do not get kicked out of Columbus. We have the very same antic here in York with the street rods.4 lanes of US Rte 30 which end up getting shut down for antics like this. That has lead to them not being invited back next year as the local LEO's are tired of having to foot the bills of OT to ensure the safety along this US Rte.

Why is it magnified with the diesel community...One answer...SMOKE.
With all the hype about wanting to be greener do you not feel we are brining it onto ourself with antics like this?.Why do you feel that local muncipalities need to "allow" streets to be shutdown so people can do what they want above and beyond what the local laws say?.

The import crowd caused major issues with their show at Carlisle and were banished.Mopar Nationals have been thrown out of both Columbus and Indy on separate occasions,Diesel crowd at the TS drags this year,do you not see a pattern here?.People are sick and tired of those coming into town and thinking they are above the law and can do what they want.

For you information,IF the road between the motel at Scheids was closed for burnouts and carrying on,then WHY was it that the line of trucks in which I was parked at the Best Western had enough rubber near them,on them and the pavement looked like the water box at Cecil County?.

You can try and make this sound like you have the right to do what you want when you want and use the old excuse of "they do it and so can we" but,I think thats a very poor way to look at things.I think its time we set the example and show the towns where these shows are held that we can come in,do what we need to ON THE DESIGNATED site and act like we are civilized humans outside in their daily grind.Maybe thats just me thinking out loud but its the way I see it.

Hope those who go to Scheids have fun......Andy
