Default April 18th - Northern Arizona Shootout

As the title says, April 18th at Speedworld Motorplex is the Northern Arizona Shootout. Not a strictly diesel event, but a few friends and I are going down to pollute the strip. If anyone else is interested, default.jpg

Gates open at 8, $25 car and driver, $15 to spectate, I believe kids 12 and under free.

WTF? Speedworld is not in Northern Arizona. That is still Central. West Valley, valley of the sun. Just a few miles out of surprise.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I used to work there when I was a senior in high school. I lived in El Mirage. Took a 1/2 hour to get there.

This used to be a race put on by the Northern Arizona Rodders. Now everyone and their mother goes, and they've just kept the name. Anyone and everyone is welcome.

Bill, I will probably be pitting with a black D-max, a hillbilly looking Ford Ranger w/ a 351, possibly a red fox body Mustang, and a few other cars. Look around for us and I'll show you some pretty neat stuff on that Ranger, you'll get a kick out of it.

I'd go just to humiliate myself but my trans is totally thrashed right now. May come up and watch tho.

Even though you only have 4th, bring the Chevy. I'd like to check out your swap

Clutch is totally fried I wound up having to trailer it home. I'll hopefully have it fixed before too long if I can track down another trans otherwise its gonna be awhile before I fix this one. I'm not gonna put in my extra clutch plate until I have 'er fixed up, I can't afford to keep frying them.

I am planning on going. Speedworld isn't far from my house and I pretty much lived there when I was in high school too! Not running the truck though, however that might change though as I am taking it into the shop tomorrow to get the tranny fixed so we'll see.
