Well we have finally got our date set in stone for our First Annual Open House event. This event is open to all makes and models including gas and diesel.

The Official dates for the open house will be April 24th & 25th.

So far this is what we have in the plans:

Friday the 24th:
Don Fauntleroy (W5IT on forums) is supposed to be making a big batch of his famous Jambalaya for all us to enjoy.
We are doing a Sonic run also. We are about 2 miles out of Jasper and we will all convoy into Jasper and take over Sonic.
And BYOB... Plenty of places in Jasper to find all the appropriate liquids to wet your whistle.

Saturday the 25th:
Working on booking a Dyno to be here all day. This is still up in the air but is in the plans. When I get a little more info I will post more on this.
We will have a radio station here doing a live remote.
We will be giving away a ton of door prizes.
We have several vendors planning to come out and set up including a couple for the ladys.
We will have moon bounce and slide for the kids.
Show and Shine Contest.
If we can find any kind of decent local band we are planing to have live music in the evening. If anyone knows of someone in the area let us know.
We will be feeding everyone a big meal.
Please pickup any road kill on your way here and leave at check in......
And of course BYOB...

Sunday the 26th:
For those of you that are still passed out in the parking lot we will be here early to shovel you back in your trucks. And if anyone just wants to come hang out at the shop I am sure we will be here all day. Probably head into town for lunch at Ceder Tree sometime.



This is our first year for this and we are hoping for a good turnout. We have almost 3 acres of parking area here so space should not be an issue.

We will be giving away door prizes all day Saturday. To get in the drawing for the door prizes you will recieve tickets when you arrive and check in.

We will also have a raffle consisting of 3+ Larger Grand Prizes (still deciding) and we will be selling tickets for these Grand Prize items. All proceeds from this raffle will go to a Charitable Orginization.

We will also have prizes setup for a Dyno contest and the Show & Shine..


For those of you that like to fish we are within 20 minutes of three of the largest lakes in Texas and one of the best Bass fishing lakes there is.

We also have alot to finalize and will be putting together a schedule as we get closer to the event and will post all that info here.

Jasper Area Hotel Accommodations

 

We have had a suggestion about making a run to the drag strip.

Ben Bruce Memorial Airpark Raceway > See you at the 'Dale!

The track is 49 miles from here.

If anyone would be interested in going there let me know asap and if we can get enough people commited I might be able to schedule this in.

I wanted to do this in Missouri for the past couple years but I just did not have enough help to put it together. But now that I relocated the business here to Texas and have plenty of help it all is finally coming together.

Be sure to tell everyone you know. I named this business "Diesel Performance Plus" for a reason. So that meens gassers and diesels and anything in between.

We are hoping for a big turnout this year and then next year we can add alot more to the event.

I'll mark my calendar. That's only about a 2-1/2 hour drive for me.
I just registered. I may be able to round about 5 more trucks up as well.
