I haven't looked into very much yet anyone got any tips, good web sites, or someone they recommended for Harris county. I'm not sure if i want to try it myself or just pay someone yet. Should I protest the taxes before I file a homestead exemption. We just bought our house in July I probably should of been looking at this stuff a while ago.

I have always hired O'Connor and Associates. They have been taking care of it for many of my relatives for years and have a good success rate. The first 3 years I was in my house they got the value down below what I paid for the house even though values were going up by leaps and bounds.

Yep. I ony pay a percentage of what they save me so it always saves me money. I might as well. I have it setup where they just send me a form each year to sign and send back. They do it all and send me a bill at the end. Easy as pie.
