That is the reason our cars are insured for the amount of original purchase price rather then the state minimums. A good insurance agent will make sure that you have enough insurance so your out of pocket expense is little to nothing.

Exactly, and I always have them add for mods. If someone steals or destroys one of my toys I get all the money back to build or buy another one.

DD, you're correct -- most people don't understand that their insurance only covers a max of about $1000 of modifications (wheels, chrome acc's., stereo, etc) so adding extra coverage is a smart idea... all my vehicles are 50/100/50 at the moment, but that is much better than 25/50/25! Especially if you ever cause a multi car accident, you'll be screwed if two of them total and eat up all your PD limits and there are still 1 or two more vehicles to pay for...then you have some really hungry insurance companies comming after your pocket cause you were too cheap to buy good insurance coverage..

I think the next step in OK is 100/300/100 -- and once I can afford that coverage, I'll be on it like stink on... well you know. Then I should be covered for nearly any accident I could get in (but not all...)

USAA has always been very good to me where mods/toys are concerned. I had a stereo system stolen out of my dually years ago, and they paid replacement value as opposed to actual cash value. All I had to do was provide them with receipts for the purchase and install.
DD, I see you're ex military. If you're not insured with USAA, you might want to look into it. You won't find anyone who is less expensive, and service-wise, I haven't found anyone who even comes close. Shoot me a PM if you want or need more info.
