Why the heck didn't the guy just buy a stock truck?

Oh, believe me, I agree. I am only in the position to do as the customer wishes, though, and more and more I don't even ask why people do some of the stuff they do to their trucks.

Marine -
about 20k miles, always with Amsoil, minimal towing, maybe 4k miles total. In great shape, I just need to clean them up a little. Complete kit, intake, downpipe, everything.

Unless he got a smokin' deal for it that he would have bought a stock truck for. Even then, I would keep all the goodies on.

I built it. It has a suncoast converter that we had cut open, replaced the lock up lining and the bearings. The transmission started life as an NADP race unit, but after a planet failed It got new everything. NADP did soe wierd stuff inside it, so wha New pump, geartrain, everything. Also, it has an HTS Race vb in it. Also comes with a Suncoast flexplate.

At that price I'm gonna hold out for a Goerend trans.

Don't take this wrong, the price that you are asking is very fair though.
