Default 02 Ford Cummins?

Welp, if my truck is still broke in the next week I'm picking it up and junking that damn 7.3. If so, has anybody done a 5.9 common rail swap? Any input helps. I know of the install kit from destroked or ford cummins, but would I have to do my own intercooler setup and exhaust? How could I use my fuel system with the cummins? Any pics or links would help. Thanks

sucks when no one replies,so ill try, does the dodge truck that the common rail engine comes in use an intank pump? if so i would say look up the flow rate and psi it operates at and compare it to the fords specs, if it dose not have one then the cummins should have a lift pump on the block, ive never messed with a 5.9 common rail, but i have a 2007 cummins 8.3 common rail in my pete 330 and it just has a draw tube in the tank and the pump on the block does everything so i imagine the smaller 5.9 is roughly the same. If that is the case to use your fuel system you would just eliminate the intank pumps, now if you have two tanks and that goofy selector valve, that may make it harder. doing your own intercooler set up shouldnt be that hard since ford makes ones that could fit, just do the plumbing. exhaust isnt that hard if you can weld.

Yea I can weld, but idk bout the pump and psi rates. I figured outntheproblem with my truck, so imntrying to just sell it now. But he'll I could probably go through and look upfordcummins.coms instruction book for a common rail and see if they do.

The stock pump for a CR IIRC 30-40 gph with a lower pressure pump 8-12psi, but CP3s (the injection pump on a CR) can handle 50-60 PSI (stock PSD pressure, no problem).
