Destroked no questions asked. Heard mixed reviews on fordcummins stuff, but personally haven't used either. I know if I was in your shoes, it'd be destroked all the way.

I'd have a hard time putting a 12V into that truck... it'd be 5.9 CR or 6.7 CR for me.

A couple other companies that specialize in this that come to mind: Beans Diesel, and GOS performance. Both do conversions day in and day out.

I would say it'd be way easier to just put a 47rh behind it... but that's just me. Guess it depends on your power goals too, but it'd save you from having to buy the adpater plate and the PCS controller.

when I was doing research I called destroke at least 12 times an to this day no one has ever answered I really don't know if they are a real company or not I called f-c and they answered all my questions I opted to build all my parts I did buy their manual it was a great help

I have heard that you have to be an installer for destroke to call back ????

just my experience

the cost is how creative you are and what you start with

my case I had a running 3500 dodge 4x4 ext cab diesel auto body was rusty need a face lift

bought a f350 srw crew cab for 2800 by the time I got dealer fees and shipping I had 4k in it

sold the ford v10 tranny about 1800

sold dodge tranny 1600
dodge rear end 500
dodge body 1700
dodge dualy box 800
other misc parts 500

so I sold a bout 6900 worth of parts so far

bouught a nv4500 2wd 300
new main gear 180
bearings and seals 60
adpt hosing 125
input gear for t case 175
clutch setup bellhousing and clutch stuff 50
new cyl for clutch 50
intercooler100
misc parts 500

flatbed 300
steel 400
gauges 150

so If I take the cost of the ford right now I am at a break even point I have not figured what the dodge was worth

I still have a dodge front 4x4 axle assembly frame and ford box to sell

its all how you part out what you don't need

Not to hijack and old thread but looking to do the same swap. A 12v 5.9 into a 05-07 F250. Trying to get any advise on what parts to buy what to try to make or find used what about tranny? Beef up the ford or try to find one in a dodge to beef up? Can tranny rebuild be done pretty easy and just get better input shaft and TC?
